ABOUT ME

I am now pursuing bachelor's degree

in Communication Science

at STIKOM the London School

of Public Relations -Jakarta,

majoring in Mass Communication studies.

I have developed some professional skills related to mass media production and management

while gaining experiences through various group projects in each of all six semesters during my study at STIKOM LSPR -Jakarta.

I also have my own personal project which called  "Sepekan Pulang" or

"A One-Week Journey Back Home".

It is a series of solo-production videos documenting my overland-trip traveling from Jakarta to Maumere, East Nusa Tenggara, which I have been doing on holidays.

My goal is to build a professional career as a writer, especially in storytelling style. I have interests in social issues including culture and tourism. I want to participate in reporting about these issues using my knowledge and skill of mass communication studies.

I mostly did my part in group projects working as content editor, reporter, writer and lately layout designer both for print (Kaleidoskop Newspaper and Explonesia Magazine) and online media platform (Digital Social Media: "Bukan Salah Bhinneka" Campaign and Travel Blog: Jakarta Yuk).

I also have experiences participating in several production for broadcast media platforms including TV Program (Live): Who Did It as live camera person, TV Program: Sport Highlight as interviewer and editor, TV Program (News Investigation): Benang Merah as camera person and editor, and HYPE FM Radio as station manager and scriptwriter.

I am actively involved in two big projects at LSPR -Jakarta. As a member of 17-2A Class Production, I took part as Head of Marketing and Publication for the "Yuzuru" Play in the 13rd LSPR Theatre Festival on February 2014.

Another project is "Indonesia Bhinneka" Visual Art Showcase Exhibition 2016 which was held by LSPR Batch 17 Mass Communication studens in last June at Art Space Galley in Terogong, Jakarta Selatan. In a group of 11 students including me as scriptwriter, we created a 360-degree virtual reality video of the well-known Minangkabau traditional dance "Tari Piring".

WHAT I'VE DONE

I am currently applying for several internship program with position as reporter or writer for  print and online media.

I would like to learn so that I can be able to increase my professional skills needed in the mass media industry. I primarily want to explore more in within the subjects of culture and tourism to get more insights of my interests but I am also open to other subjets as I believe will help me understand better about mass media industry.

In the meantime, I'm progressively working on a production of a travel magazine as my final year projet at STIKOM the London School of Public Relations -Jakarta.

WHAT I DO
PORTFOLIO

The following are my original works, mostly as assignment projects at STIKOM LSPR- Jakarta.

Most of them are presented in Bahasa Indonesia.

Newspaper

In a group of 5 students we designed and produced the front page of KALEIDOSKOP. My part was to write for FEATURE section. The article is on the right side of the front page or you can also read it here.

I was the one who came up with the name "KALEIDOSKOP" and recommended it to all the group members. The reason we finally use the name is because we want to create a newpaper that is rich of stories from many different angels. That is also why we use the tagline "SERIBU SUDUT PANDANG" or "THOUSANDS POINT OF VIEWS". We want the readers not only to know the truth but also to feel sort of enjoyment in reading the articles. We want them to use our newspaper as a unique but credible source of information. It is like as if they are looking through a kaleidoscope.

MAGAZINE

Both KALEIDOSKOP and EXPLONEASIA

are the titles of two print media products I've created with my groups for our final projects of Basic Journalism (3rd semester) and Print Media Production & Management (6th semester).

The 60-pages EXPLONESIA travel magazine provides information about interesting destination in Indonesia, specifically. Working with other 5 students, I did my part as Editor in Chief and Art Designer.

  • As Editor in Chief, I was responsible to make sure that all the articles already fit properly to each of the magazine's characteristics.

  • As Art Designer, I designed the cover page using my own picture. I also did layout designs for several rubrics including MUSIM SEBULAN, ITINERARI, COVER STORY, EXPLOSUMATERA, EXPLOJAWA, EXPLOBORNEO, EXPLOSULAWESI, EXPLOPAPUA, EXPLOKEPULAUAN, LOKAL, FIGUR, and JAJANAN.

  • I also wrote three articles for the main topic of this edition which is about Wae Rebo. My articles are "Peradaban Luhur di Ancala Manggarai" which is about my visit in Wae Rebo for the first time and how I associate it with Machu Picchu, "Menuju Wae Rebo" which contains a five-days Wae Rebo itinerary that I made based on my own experience, and "Laksana Anak Waerebo" which is basically my report on local people of Wae Rebo.

OTHER PROJECTS, PUBLICATION & ACHIEVEMENTS

"Sepekan Pulang" or "One Week Jouney Back Home" is a personal project of mine which I've been doing since July 2015 during holidays. It is a series of solo-production videos documenting my one-week overland trip from Jakarta to Maumere.

I've already made "Sepekan Pulang" series 1 during holiday season in July - August 2015. Meanwhile, "Sepekan Pulang" series II is still on editing process. I took the second trip during holiday season in Janurary - February 2016. Each series contains seven places in the route, as following:

Sepekan Pulang I  : Jakarta - Lombok - Bima Sape - Labuan Bajo - Komodo Island - Ruteng - Maumere

Sepekan Pulang II : Jakarta - Malang - Bali - Lombok - Labuan Bajo - Rinca & Kanawa Islands - Maumere

Although it is called "Sepekan Pulang", the journey itself doesn't last precisely in seven days. It is usually more than 10 days. I call it "Sepekan Pulang" because it was a deal I made with my mom: "I should only take just one week of the holiday to travel and spend the rest of it at home". Therefore, the whole videos are made for her. I want to show her that traveling teaches me many things. Every places I visit, every person I met, each has given me new meaningful lesson in life and has helped me find my way to become a better person.

Yuzuru Theatre Show was part of The 13th LSPR Theatre Festival held by LSPR Batch 17 students in our first year. Yuzuru Theatre Show itself was produced by class of 17-2A as our final project of subject Introduction to Performing Arts Communication. The play was dated on June 21st, 2014 and performed at Prof. Dr. Djajusman Auditorium and Performance Hall in London School of Public Relations -Jakarta. All of the 200 tickets were sold and more than 170 people had came to see the show.

As a member of 17-2A class production, I was in the class commitee as the Head of Marketing. My division got sponsorships from Oishi and Yohana Lestari Bridal & Make Up School and media partnership with Japanese Music Radio ID.

Indonesia Bhinneka is a video exhibition held by LSPR Mass Communication Batch 17 associatively in the end of June 2016 at Arcolabs Space Gallery. My class produced three videos for the exhibition within a theme of Minangkabau culture, which are: 360-degree VR about Tari Piring, video-mapping about the legend Malin Kundang story and another video-mapping about Minangkabau food.

I was in the production team of 360-degree VR video and worked as scriptwriter.

I won a video competition #MimpiUnlimit8 held by Kompas.com in Facebok category. I made a one-minute

video of me visualizing my dream. Here is the video.

Level 2 Certificate in English for Business Communication is an international certificate provided by the vocational education organization City & Guilds of London Institute. In order to get this certificate, I've attended two years or four semesters of classes with subjects: General English I, General English II, English for Business Communication I and English for Business Communication II. During the lessons, I learned theoritically and practically of how to write Business Letters, Circular Letters, Informational Reports, Articles, Faxes and Memos as I was given a role as Personal Assistant.

I got this cetificate for attending a special mentorship program held by LSPR Careers & Employablility. The mentorship program is held exclusively only for TOP 10 Students Batch 17 and 18.
